purseFabulous is the only word for this 1963 signed Enid Collins Purse of Texas “Original Box Bag”, titled “Americana.”  Initialed on front of bag lower right; signed inside. 

– 1964, hand decorated with brilliant ruby red jewels on an American Eagle iconic image.

– Excellent condition, some mild scuffs on back, super-clean inside. Leather purse 2latch in very good condition.

– 11″ x 8-1/2″ x 2-3/4″, larger size she made.

– Jointed wood inside, great attention to detail and fine quality.

– Embellishments are all intact and lovely.

– Dark Mahogany wood.

Gold and silver glass bugle beads handsewn in a subtle swirl pattern, satin lined with “Saks Fifth Avenue, Made in France” inside. 

Gold AND Silver means this matches your entire evening wardrobe. Sparkling crystals on the frame and clasp, completely beaded handle, heavy and substantial weight – highest quality purse even more lovely in person. 

Excellent overall condition with a few minor smudges inside on the satin lining. Everything else is excellent!

Whiting Davis antique Mesh Bag DRESDEN Gold Abstract

We’re delighted to have found a wonderful group of antique and vintage WHITING DAVIS mesh purses, catalogues and accessories fresh from the home of a former employee. This would be a terrific opportunity to add to your collection and display. Often featured in VOGUE magazine as stylish accessories for a glamorous night out, as they easily hold cell phone, credit cards, house key. Long a movie-star tradition, these purses were carried by the likes of Joan Crawford to Nicole Kidman!

The picture to the left is of the prettiest we found – a dazzling DRESDEN baby ring fine mesh bag with a “watercolor-like” abstract pattern.  Soft pastel floral expressionist pattern on gold links, gold frame. This style purse was chosen as first image on title page of “Whiting & Davis Purses – The Perfect Mesh”book by Pina.
