Condition:

Trail Painted Ponies War Pony #1452 Rance Hood 2004 Retired Original Box

From a carefully curated collection of Trail of Painted Ponies comes this retired figurine, preserved in excellent condition. One of the earliest and most iconic releases in the Painted Ponies line, War Pony (Item #1452) by artist Rance Hood, was introduced in 2004 and has since become a highly sought-after retired piece. This powerful figurine depicts a proud spotted Appaloosa adorned with traditional war paint, feathers, and symbolic shield designs. At its hooves rest a buffalo skull and stones, symbolizing courage and reverence in Native tradition.

This figurine is hand-numbered 18E/3705, indicating it is from the 18th production edition and individually numbered. It comes complete with its original box and story card/booklet. War Pony stands out as both a collector’s centerpiece and a tribute to Native American artistry. Edition: 18E/3705 (18th Edition, hand-numbered). The figurine is in excellent display condition, with vivid paintwork, intact details, and no chips, cracks, or flaws. It retains its hand-numbered base and includes the original packaging and story card. The box shows some light wear consistent with age and storage, but remains solid and protective. WPA Era Art Print Carlos Anderson Little Church Around Corner Empire State New York City

The Little Church Around the Corner

Original Carlos Anderson (1905 to 1978) WPA depression-era lithograph print known as the “Little Church Around the Corner”,  although unsigned.   Known for his strong urban landscape images, he worked in the NYC Graphic Arts Division of the WPA program in the 1930s.
The church is located at 1 East 29th Street and is also known as the Church of the Transfiguration, and a popular site for weddings. Print is in excellent condition. Beautifully framed in rich walnut, under glass, matted.

  • Print and frame in excellent condition. There is some reflection in the center of the photo that is from my phone/camera. The Print itself is pristine with no such shadow. 
  • Also in the collection of many noted Museums, with a large group at the Springville Museum of Art in Utah.

The Yale Fence Handcolor Art Print Howland 1890 Remarque BONUS Identify Athletes

Fascinating work of Collegiate art by A.C. Howland, “The Yale Fence”, signed 1889/90. Hand colored Photogravure, has original remarque image in lower margin indicating it is similar to an Artist Proof piece prior to printing the edition.
As a remarkable bonus, in researching we discovered a “legend” naming 14 of the Yale BMOC *Big Man On Campus” athletes who were depicted in this work. Included are Walter Camp (the Father of American Football), William “Pa Corbin, and Amos Alonzo Stagg to name a few who are identified.
We are including a photograph of the legend along with the art shown in last photo.
Picture is in excellent condition, image size is 16″ x 38″, with title 18-1/2″ x 31″, paper size 22-1/2″ x 36″. Is laid down on mat, measuring in total 25″ x 38”.

Fantasia Boxed Lithograph Portfolio Disney Concept Art 50 Images LE 352/500 Mickey Mouse

We’re selling some very special pieces of Disney memorabilia, fresh from a serious collector with a great eye! Highlight of the collection is this FANTASIA BOXED LITHOGRAPH PORTFOLIO #352/500. This special boxed set has long ago sold-out and is extremely hard to find, if at all! It initially was introduced for $1800.

Our set is in new condition in terms of the prints which are pristine and mint. The outer box has a few imperfections (water spots) from storage as shown in photos but nothing that detracts from the magnificent art inside.  Save as a reference library or frame your favorites or even ALL of the 22 lithographs for a stunning wall of art. Each piece is numbered with the 352/500 on lower left and measures 20″ x 16″.
DETAILS:

  • On, November 13, 1940, Walt Disney’s FANTASIA premiered at the Broadway Theater in New York. To celebrate the film’s re-release in 1990 for its 50th anniversary, the Disney Art Program created this boxed portfolio of 50 images of conceptual art that inspired Walt and his artists during the making of this animated masterpiece. 
  • The portfolio was designed and its production supervised by Patrick Dooley. Mr. Dooley also worked with David Cleghorn and Esther Ewert with research and review of the film’s original artwork to select images representing each of FANTASIA’s eight major movements.
  • The pieces in this collection, reproduced by Gardner Lithograph in Buena Park, California, were printed on Mohawk Superfine 80-lb. cover in four-color process and duotone. The prints are faithful reproductions of the original art. 
  • Each of the 50 images were reproduced on 22 lithographs. They are placed in protective folders with an introductory essay and narrative explaining the scene, artist and original medium.
  • The portfolio box is covered with Iris bookcloth and stamped in 23-karet gold foil, handcrafted with the highest quality acid-free materials. This collection can be enjoyed for generations to come as it is truly a work of art.

  • Combination placecard holder and ashtray for cigarette ashes; very Hollywood and 1930’s Art Deco style. I’d personally add a little flower bud to each one & use as a mini vase if you don’t need for ashtray!
  • 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″ across cupped, raised base.
