Offering a beautiful antique Copeland Spode fluted plate with a hand-painted transferware pattern of a flying crane with palm trees and a butterfly.
Marked with the appropriate Copeland “B2” and signed by the artist, dating to the pre-1891 era. Has an impressed date mark of S72, if I read it correctly, which would be September 1872.
