 The other picture is of one of the most unusual & interesting! A. BUCHERER and Cie Company patented metal ball-jointed” doll dating from 1920-11930s Fine Swiss technology allows for excellent articulation with finely tuned metal balls & sockets.

We have acquired a terrific collection (and HUGE) of over 100 vintage 1950s Salt and Pepper Shaker sets, fresh from a local collector.

The picture to the far left shows HOLT Howard’s highly collectible “Cozy Kitten Stacking Seasons” set from 1958. This set is in good to excellent condition overall, with some light wear—great to find it all together!

The other picture shows a terrific set of Eva Zeisel original Town & Country RED WING Pottery salt and pepper shakers known as the SHMOO set!

LLADRO figurine LOVE BOAT Retired LE 5343 Artist SIGNED

Lladro Love BoatThis was an excellent weekend for the Connectibles Treasure Hunters. In addition to a large auction with many fantastic items for our eBay store, we managed to pick up an amazing collection of Llardro figurines. These Llardros are fresh from an avid local collector. Many musicians and clowns are included in the group.  We got a good deal, so we’re happy to pass these along to you.

This dramatic piece is the LOVE BOAT AmorLladro figurine, “Paseo en Barca.” Limited to only 3,000, ours is signed on the base by the artist Francisco Catala. Remarkable detail: 3 figures in a boat with a dog, and a lace umbrella that screws on and off. EXCELLENT new condition. This would make a  STRIKING addition to any LLADRO collection. Simon Halbig K*R Bisque DOLL 6″ Dollhouse Germany

Simon HalbigSimon Halbig2Wow, what a cute little bisque doll! Here is a charming antique TINY 6-1/2″ Child Doll marked Simon Halbig K Star R for Kammer & Reinhardt. Made in Germany, Bisque head, sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, Composition 5-piece jointed body with painted stockings & strap shoes. The mechanism for attaching the legs to the torso is interesting, as shown in the photos.

It is so much fun finding little treasures like this in such out-of-the-way places. By the way, Simon Halbig was a German company that started making dolls around 1870 and continued for about 50 years. Any other doll companies purchased their doll heads from S&H. Kammer & Reinhardt, the manufacturer of this doll, was one of the companies that purchased doll heads from S&H. It is excellent to know that outsourcing was thriving almost 150 years ago. Who knew? Antique Child Dish Tea Set 23p Victorian Box RS Prussia

We sell new items in our eBay store. However, our really BIG business is our mostly vintage collectibles in our eBay store Connectibles.  This is an example of a rare item we picked from a local collector last week.Child's Tea Service  This is a beautiful antique Child’s service for 6, with an original box featuring Victorian design and French graphics. According to the book R. S. Prussia: The Formative Years by Leland & Carol Marple on page 166, this set is attributed to R.S. Prussia. The set handles, spouts, and other components have been attributed to the Reinhold Schlegelmilch plant in Tillowitz. Circa 1894 – 1905, this box probably dates it to the earlier date.

(This is one) of approximately 1700 items in our store. Our items represent many categories of collectibles. We pride ourselves on finding rare and vintage items from local and regional collectors. Since our recent retirement, this quest to rescue these items and bring them to our loyal customers has become a real passion. I guess you could say it is one of our contributions to the green recycling effort.

We’re very excited about finding such an unusual vintage Barbie playset that offers excellent display possibilities! I’ve never seen one before, and it’s likely to be a long time before another one is found.

While in New Hampshire, we came across “Barbie’s FASHION SHOP” playset, including a showcase, furniture, wardrobe, stage, window cabinet, and some accessories. The 1963 set is cardboard, and the most challenging part is done—it’s already assembled. The original 16-page instruction booklet is included. Here are the details: 

  • The platform panel is 44″ x 24″ when opened. The highest portion is 18″. LARGE set for dramatic display!
  • The set is complete and in overall excellent condition, though it shows some wear on the edges. Missing Mannequin arms and base to “Showcase”. There is a BONUS extra chair that is included.
  • Sections include a Stage, Mirror, Table, 3 chairs, Showcase (some scratch wear to plastic inserts, but an entertaining piece to personalize), Corner unit with a “hat display section”, Wardrobe Stage with curtains, Window Cabinet with Mannequins, and a folding floor with a strap.
  • The collection also includes miniature magazines, invitations, and fashion cards, as shown in photos.

Data General One

Well, I finally got around to listing two of my vintage computers, the Data General One and the Toshiba Libretto 50CT. The DG/1 was the first real laptop that was advertised as having the power of a desktop. There was a great review of the DG/1 back in the day, here is the link for a good read from Creative Computing magazine from November 1985. This beauty works and comes with several DOS disks. Quite a find!

I found an excellent computer at a large estate sale in Connecticut a few weeks ago, and I have decided to sell it along with several other vintage computers I have been storing in my house for the last twenty to thirty years. I hope to get these posted to eBay in the next two weeks. In addition to the Data General One, I also have an Apple II, Macbook 145B, Compaq Presario 3060 Desktop, Toshiba Libretto, IBM PS/2 Model 30, and maybe a few more when I start digging.
