TYCO HO Scale Train Set T6127 “Mammoth of the Rails” 8 Cars “MIKADO Steam Locomotive”

We recently acquired several very nice vintage train sets.  Featured here is a vintage TYCO HO Scale Train Set, the T6127 “Mammoth of the Rails” with 8 Cars and the MIKADO Steam Locomotive.  This is one of TYCO’s earlier sets from 1961, the “Red Box Era”. This Mikado Engine is the T208A for the Pennsylvania Railroad.  A great looking train that appears to be new in the box and never used.  Outer box shows some wear due to storage and handling and two corners are torn.

The set does not come with a transformer, and I am not sure if one was included since I cannot see how it would fit into the box.

The set comes with many accessories including small white figures for staging around the included trail station and news stand.  Please take a look at all of our train sets at connectibles.

Marklin 1987 Silver Arrow Clockwork Windup Grand Prix Racing Car Mercedes W25

On a recent Treasure Hunting trip we found a Marklin Tin 1987 “Silver Arrow” Clockwork Windup Racing Car Silver-Gray Mercedes Benz W25. This car was the first in a series of clockwork tin plate racing cars manufactured by Marklin in Germany.  The car is approximately 11 inches long and comes on a wooden base. The original box and the windup key complete the set. The box has very light wear and the car appears to have never been played with or very lightly.

I did wind the car up to make sure it works properly and it ran very smoothly and the steering wheel is functional. The car comes in a beautiful box and is a really special Marklin toy.  Please look more closely in our connectibles eBay Store.

Madame Alexander QUIZ-KINS 1953 orig baby DOLL & Romper

We’re selling an interesting assortment of 1950’s small dolls, fresh from local collection. Pictured here is one of the harder to find Madame Alexander QUIZ KINS baby dolls from 1953, in her original red romper.  Please scroll for additional photos; click to enlarge and see details.  Straight leg non-walker, hard plastic, #312.

  • 7-1/2″
  • 2 buttons on back work nicely – one nods up and down for “yes”, other shakes head side-to-side for “no.”
  • Condition overall is VERY good – not perfect, but definitely nice!
  • Mouth appears to have paint imperfection in one corner; possibly repainted or factory issue.
  • Some paint rubs & light marks on face/head; body good overall but needs more cleaning.
  • Mark on back of one arm.
Red romper is untagged but I believe original.
  • MA dressed these babies in rompers so the 2 buttons could be visible and easy pushed.

HARD to find, charming original vintage MA special doll.  Please look at our large collection of dolls, doll furniture, doll clothing and doll jewelry in our connectibles store.

Singer FEATHERWEIGHT 221-1 AD790397 & RARE 1934 Manual VIDEO

We’re always excited when we find a Singer FEATHERWEIGHT Sewing Machine to offer, as we know how much they are loved! This listing features one of the EARLIEST models we’ve ever offered, highly collectible.

Details:

Singer Portable Electric Sewing Machine 221-1 in original case with accessories.  Number AD790397, with production date of November 27, 1934.  Watch video below to see how it functions.  I believe this model is even more compact that later ones; when plate is up it measures 7-1/4″ x 10-1/2″ x 10-1/2″ approximate.  See Video below:

Starts easily, appears to run smoothly, but all I did is turn it on as I am not a quilter or seamstress. Condition outside is overall very good with some light marks or scratches to glossy finish. Decals are excellent ART DECO style as you can see in photos (please scroll down & click to enlarge for details.) Medallion gold is sharp.

Has the original RARE and unusual January 1934 Manual. Singer pasted a new page 7 into their “older” manual. The pasted page contained an illustration of the Type 2 case, which was placed directly over the page that illustrated a Type 1 case. If you hold this up to the light you can see this correction, as I tried to show in photographs on eBay.

Booklet has some foxing and spotting.  VERY few of these have been found according to an expert Featherweight information site! A kind Ebayer sent me the history and you can read more at this website.

ORIGINAL Striated plate is excellent.

Original bakelite pedal good condition as well, some general scratches as shown. Plug is FRAYED as shown; we believe the white cord has been replaced; you probably will want to do the same with the black that is fraying, but it clearly works fine.

TYPE 2 carrying case is very good condition as well, clean with a very mild oil odor. Leather handle, possibly all leather on the case.
Locks are stiff – one on right may need some oiling.
ORIGINAL hard to find unusual pair of keys – authentic and guaranteed!
More compact style case than many later cases, measures 13″ x 7-1/2″ x 11″, easier to carry than the large ones.
LOTS of accessories including instructions booklet (dated 1933 but has the 1934 double page 7 as described above), attachments as shown in the photos.

TERRIFIC version of this VERY EARLY and  highly collectible Singer!

Bronze 1923 Plaque Bas-Relief Bust 1st 30 Presidents US

Pictured here is an unusual bronze wall hanging plaque featuring small bas-relief busts of the first 30 Presidents of the United States.  Titled “George Washington and sculptured busts of Succeeding Presidents” on back; partially worn off. Starts with George Washington, ends with Calvin Coolidge. Signed and copyright by A. Eisenberg. Fascinating and memorable piece.

Flap on the reverse side opens to reveal paper biographies pages from a booklet by the Patriotic Art Society of America. 4.5″ x 4″ pages for most of the Presidents. Pages are quite fragile with some stains and tears, but remarkable to find after nearly 90 years!  Measures 6.25″ x 7.75″ with the overall condition being VERY good, with great patina and light wear. This would be a great and UNUSUAL addition to any Presidential historical collection.  Check it out in our connectibles store.
