Vintage Collection Lot 5 Czech Paper Mache Puppets by Munzbergo Vy Loutky

puppetsCharming lot of 5 antique Czech puppets, paper mache uniquely sculpted faces, hand painted  loosely jointed wooden and mache body and original fabric costumes.

 Attached to metal rod with wooden handle and strings; many strings are disconnected but can  be replaced if you wish. Generally very good to excellent condition otherwise.

 Logo on wood handle AMP, Munzbergo Vy Loutky.

 7-8″ tall each for the puppet without the rod.

HISTORY: During the early 20th century, the tradition of puppet theater in Eastern Europe was  thriving, and small theater groups were formed in many villages. These were from such a  theater group originally.  CHARMING for display, can be seated or hung. 

 Puppets are numbered on the back of the wood. All have at least one limb still attached with the string, some have more. VERY expressive faces.   These and other puppets are available in our eBay store connectibles.

Lamp ShadeGorgeous pre-owned glass beaded fringe style lamp shades for wall sconces, chandeliers, table lamps. These are 5″ long with the fringe, 3″ across at the top, clip on clamp.

Beautiful iridescent glass beads are gleaming!

French ormalu type metal filigree work on the bands, unmarked. Likely French or Czechoslovakian.

PaddingtonWe are ready for the Paddington Movie craze to start.  We already have a nice group of Vintage Paddingtons in our eBay store connectibles.  These are the originals, not new reproductions.

We’re selling a charming group of vintage Paddington Bears, fresh from local collection. Featured here is a lot of five vintage soft, squishy Paddingtons, great for the younger set over age 3!  Most are made by Eden Toys Inc.

Includes velour style rattle with handle and a roly-poly Sears style with musical bell inside.  Overall very good with some surface wear; washing instructions on tush tags if you’d like to freshen.   Tallest is 10″. Fun lot for play or display.

FreddyFeatured here is a lot of TWO boxed Matchbox Freddy Krueger toys, new old stock, never removed from original boxes.  Toys are new condition, boxes show some storage shelf wear and have some creases. ALSO as an extra BONUS, we’re including a never-released in US Freddy Krueger “Electronic Scare Stick” from 1990, still attached to card. Makes Spooky Sound and has flashing eyes.

Included are:

  • Talking Freddy Krueger Pull String 17″ Figure, delightfully creepy. Talks when you pull string and says things like “Pleasant Dreams”, “Hi, I’m Freddy”, and others. Works smoothly through the test hole on back of box. This figure caused a great deal of controversy when it was released.
  • Also, a Maxx FX completely poseable and authentically detailed 9″ action figure “quick change” artist with special effects, transforming into Freddy Krueger from “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”   You actually “make the changes happen” as you enter the world of movie magic and special effects.  Originally intended to be part of a series to recreate all your favorite movie monsters, but this was only Maxx Matchbox decided to offer, perhaps due to all the controversy surrounding their talking Freddy figure featured above. Easy on/off assembly, new in original box, never removed from box.
  • BONUS Freddy Electronic Scare Stick, 1990 Marty Toys, never released in US.

Hedwig Amish Lydia De Angeli 1930’s Vintage 14″ Composition Doll + Book

dollBeautiful 14″ Hedwig doll Lydia, wonderful Mary Hoyer style face. Composition, mohair wig, painted eyes, lovely coloring, original costume.

Lydia depicts a young Amish girl, a character from Marguerite de Angeli’s book “Henner’s Lydia”, 1936.  The 7 different Hedwig dolls were created to depict the characters in the children’s books written by De Angeli, and taken by the traveling salesmen around the country as they sold the books. Costumes were copied from the book illustrations and designed by Hedwig Ryglewicz, Mrs. de Angeli’s friend. They were never offered for sale to the general public, only available through Marguerite’s publisher Doubleday.

Originally made by the Ideal Toy company, similar beautiful face used for Mary Hoyer. Unmarked, they are difficult to identify; ours has what I believe is the original wrist tag and completely original costume. 

We are including an ex-library copy of the book as well for you to read AND display with this lovely doll. 

Lydia is just lovely and quite scarce and difficult to find. This is our first Lydia to offer, and we are unlikely to find another!  Please look at this doll and many others in our eBay Store Connectibles.

1960’s Custom Leather Luggage Car Warren VW Beetle Volkswagen Suitcase 2 pc Set

vwWe’re delighted to be offering a rare and difficult to find set of 2 suitcases that were designed in the 1960’s as a custom set for the owner’s Volkswagen Beetle car.  These were made in the US, they were not made by VW themselves. I show the stock photo to give you an idea of where it was suggested that the suitcases be placed; our set is NOT the set in the photo, it was custom designed.  Interesting even if you do not own a Bug; these are high quality vintage suitcases that look great on their own.

Please take the measurements and compare to your own car to be confident they will fit if you want to use in your car; we are not certain which exact models they work in. 

Made by Warren, brown leather outside. 

Measure 32″ x 16-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ each

Original keys and lock which we did not try.

Excellent overall condition except leather has been in storage for decades with some light scuffs on outside and you might want to wipe down with leather cleaner. Inside is very clean with minimum wear, slightly dusty as well but nothing that detracts.

Classy and Classic!

From our research we have found information that these were designed to individually be put under the front hood, OR stored together behind the seat as shown in last photo. 

I’ve been told as well that they fit best in a 1962-1965 VW Beetle but you can check the measurements and see if they work for you!

Hard to find, great to have 2 together. Each has a monogram on the side; two different styles, may be that one is for the lady and he other for the gent! Either way, they are wider and thinner than traditional suitcases.

1930s Hollywood Regency Cigarette Mechanical Dispenser Vintage Lotus Vtg Art Deco

cig1Every once in awhile we see something that is thoroughly entertaining AND highly collectible! This listing features such an item. 1930’s Hollywood Regency Art Deco mechanical cigarette dispenser sits on your cocktail table looking like a lovely two-tone Lotus Flower. When it’s time for your cocktail party, just push down on the top and … voila! The petals slowly open to reveal your cigarettes, each in it’s own little holder.cig2

We are showing it with empty rolling paper and will include them with the dispenser. Looks so fabulous just as it is! 

Approx 9″ x 10″ when opened, brass and white contrasting petals. Substantial weight. 

VERY good overall condition with some scuffs and rubs to the finish; mechanism works wonderfully as you can see below in our video.

SA2Pre-owned Straight Arrow and his Palomino Fury Golden Nugget Picture Ring, 1950 promotion from Nabisco Shredded Wheat Cereal. Look into the cave entrance and inside is a photo of Straight Arrow and his horse; kids could send in their own picture and it was placed in the middle of the photo so it looked like they were with Straight Arrow and Fury in the picture.SA

Ours has a little boy in the center of the photo! Adjustable, gold dipped metal. Some wear to the finish but overall very good condition and a great collectible! She’s wearing her original shoes but is in a custom made replacement dress,slip,panties and socks. All are in excellent condition.
