US Army Hour 1960’s Good Morning VIETNAM type Vinyl Record Radio Show T-471 EXC

We’ve just obtained a wonderful original collection of vinyl LP recordings of “The Army Hour” radio show that were broadcast during the Vietnam War in the 1960’s-70’s to the military.  Reminds me of the “Good Morning Vietnam” type of show.  Visual condition of most appears excellent.

12″ LP record album produced by the Office of the Chief of Information, Department of the Army. Each program is on one side of the 33-1/3 rpm record and runs 25 minutes and features Vietnam combat news stories & popular music of the time. Also includes the printed information describing the content for the Program Director of the show. Some are dated.

History of Panthathlon training. Interview with an Army soldier who was on the 1968 U.S. Olympic Team in the Panthathlon.
Music: Hawaiian War Chant, U.S. Army Band dedicated “The Spirit of Victory” to the Pentathlon, I Can’t Stop Loving You by the Surf-casters, and Steve Lawrence singing “There’ll be some Changes made.”

Interview with a volunteer Combat Nurse serving in Vietnam.
Story of a helicopter test pilot.

Antique Inkwell P.S. & W. Peck Stow Wilcox 1877 Cast Iron Stork EXC 3 pc Set

Pictured here is a wonderful antique cast iron inkwell, complete with pressed glass insert and lid. Made by Connecticut’s Peck, Stow & Wilcox Company circa 1877, it’s in overall EXCELLENT condition with no breaks or repairs.

  • Stand measures 4″ x 3-1/2″ x 5″, and has ornate decoration. Top shows a stork with places for 3 pens; bottom stand has 4 feet on the base and elegant rising sun motif.
  • Pressed glass ink bottle has elegant square shape, and measures 2″ square. On the bottom the impressed words “PS&W co. Pat Dec 11, 77” appears. Glass is smooth, no chips, remnants of ink inside that I leave to lucky new owner to clean if you choose.
  • Lid is secure and fits beautifully.

Lenox “Great Castles of the World” The Tower of London England dating to 1078 New In Box

We’re delighted to be offering several LENOX Great Castles of the World. This listing features the Tower of London that stands on the north bank of the Thames River in East London.  The original owner had them safely packed away in storage, all are in NEW condition with original packaging and original shipping box.

Quoted from Lenox:

“Until the reign of James I in the early 17th century, the Tower of London served as a royal residence.  It has also been a fortress, prison, the royal mint, an observatory, a military barracks, a place of execution, city zoo and a storehouse for ordnance, records and animals.  The oldest part of this ancient fortress is the white tower, dating back to 1078, shortly after the Norman Conquest of England.”

The Castle measures 10 inches X 8 1/2 inches X 4 1/2 inches and displays beautifully.

We’re offering a large group of vintage radio tubes from a local estate, and are listing in our eBay store as we found them.  Some are new “old stock”, but all have been untested, visual condition only can be described. Pictured here is a  Lionel Post-War #736 2-4-8 Berkshire Engine with a 2046W Tender.  The engine and tender are in very good condition and come with their original boxes.  The boxes show wear and the tender box has one end completely without flap.  The engine could use a good cleaning after years of storage.

Bronze 1923 Plaque Bas-Relief Bust 1st 30 Presidents US

Pictured here is an unusual bronze wall hanging plaque featuring small bas-relief busts of the first 30 Presidents of the United States.  Titled “George Washington and sculptured busts of Succeeding Presidents” on back; partially worn off. Starts with George Washington, ends with Calvin Coolidge. Signed and copyright by A. Eisenberg. Fascinating and memorable piece.

Flap on the reverse side opens to reveal paper biographies pages from a booklet by the Patriotic Art Society of America. 4.5″ x 4″ pages for most of the Presidents. Pages are quite fragile with some stains and tears, but remarkable to find after nearly 90 years!  Measures 6.25″ x 7.75″ with the overall condition being VERY good, with great patina and light wear. Model Kit Testors FairchildC-119G Flying BoxcarNIB1986

We’re selling a large group of vintage historical Military / Commercial Aircraft MODEL Kits, unused condition from an avid local collector. Kits are unused but the boxes may show considerable wear.  Very nice opportunity to add to your beginning or advanced collection.

Pictured here is  a Heller Humbrol Lockheed 1049 G, “Super G” model kit.  It’s the replica of the 1955 TWA airplane, series 80314.  This model is made in France with a scale of 1:72 and is for builders with an intermediate skill level.

This second model pictured below is a Testors Fairchild C-119G Flying Boxcar made in 1986.  This is also made in the 1:72 scale and in suitable for builders older than 10.  A great Air Force workhorse.  See these and about 50 other vintage models in our connectibles store.
