Vintage Airplane Figural Brooch Pin Plane Travel Map Air France Africa Aviation

Flight Pin

This listing features one of the more unusual and hard-to-find vintage pins we have ever discovered. 2 figural airplanes are suspended over a round glass dome covering a unique map that depicts African countries placed right next to Paris, France. Circa 1950’s – 1960’s.

Please look at photo to see the details.

After much research, we have not been able to discover another similar one. Our best guess is that it was a promotional pin either for a travel agency or airlines; perhaps Air France when they started flying to African countries and this was a way to “connect” the 2 areas.

  • Remarkable design.
  • Measures a substantial 3″, a true statement piece of jewelry.
  • Excellent condition, appears new and unused.
  • Unique gift for your favorite traveler or travel agent or Airline personnel; unlikely to ever be seen again!
