Terri Lee Blond 1950’s DOLL + Dress, orig Shoes, Socks

We’re selling a very nice collection of original TERRI LEE outfits and doll.  Shown here is the beautiful TERRI LEE blond doll, dressed in an untagged dress set with original oilcloth shoes & nylon socks.  Also shown is a wonderful garden party dress and bonnet

  • Hard Plastic 1950’s original doll is in overall excellent condition. Has been VERY well protected, face paint is beautiful and clean.
  • Blond original ringlet hairstyle is mostly intact with a few curls untucked! Original hair ribbons too!
  • Oil cloth center ribbon shoes are VERY good & sell for upwards of $50 a pair by themselves. One is slightly darker than other. Nylon socks are excellent.
  • Nylon one-piece bloomer/slip is in very good condition as well.
  • DRESS SET is untagged but I believe is original and is in VERY good to excellent condition.
  • Seams are tight. Seam on left side of neck is oh so slightly wider than others; I’ve shown photo of it in next to last picture.

Effanbee PATSY Doll Classics Grande Finale 1996 Certificate of Authenticity

We’re selling some interesting EFFANBEE collectible dolls.  Pictured here is a PATSY from the Doll Classics Grande Finale series in 1996 . This is a Limited edition, offered only in 1996. Model V541.  Features:

  • 13″ doll
  • Issued ONLY in 1996, limited edition.
  • First made in 1928, this doll is an exact replica cast from molds taken from original doll. Costume is modeled from the 1933 Patsy doll.
  • Original Effanbee heart bracelet is in unopened package.

The Effanbee Doll Company issued the first Patsy in 1928 and was in business for many years.  The company has changed hands several times and most recently in 2002 was purchased from bankruptcy by the Robert Tonner Doll Company.  This, and many other dolls, are available in the connectibles store.

 

Kish Doll Lot 2 TAKE NOTE Song BJD & Riki Asian

Shown here are two wonderful KISH dolls with an Asian sculpt that are perfect when displayed together, so we are selling them as a pair! TAKE NOTE SONG and RIKI are new, never removed from boxes, 2010 releases. We just found these on our Kish inventory shelf and realized they had never been listed, so here they are! These sold out quickly in the fall, so here’s an opportunity to purchase now that we realized we still have them! NEW, both dolls have NEVER been removed from their original box, comes complete with CERTIFICATE of Authenticity. Included are:

  • TAKE NOTE SONG: 14″ Vinyl Ball Jointed doll, epitomizing the love of music with her own silver flute! Empire style frock with notes dancing across her dress, striped tights, black pumps. Mohair braids are perfect for her concert! LE 300, sold out quickly.
  • TAKE NOTE RIKI: One of the newest babies in the Chrysalis line, 8″ vinyl with bent limbs and new head sculpt. Painted eyes, mohair wig, matching musical frock to go along with her big sister Song’s. LE 200 only, sold out quickly.

Little Pullip GOTH DOLL Lot 2 VAMPIRE R & Cornice

Love big-eye Japanese fashion dolls like Blythe? The Little Pullip dolls by Jun Planning are not as well known, but they have a very strong Japanese style to them, and they evoke the very popular Blythe doll – sort of a Blythe granddaughter! Quite remarkable to see, and highly collectible.

Shown here is a set of TWO VERY goth retired Little Pullip & Dal dolls that display so well together.  Mint & never removed from original boxes.  Approximately 5″ tall, these also come with a photo pin of the doll’s face included as an accessory.

  • CORNICE with flaming red floor length hair, fantastic look!

Rumor has it that Pullip dolls are no longer going to be produced, making these retired dolls even MORE collectible.  Our other collections of Little Pullip sold out immediately; we only have a few of each style, so don’t delay and end up disappointed! Japanese Doll with Wigs Hanako Katsuraningyo

We recently found a wonderful group of antique and vintage Ethnic dolls from a remarkable local collection.  This listing features a JAPANESE Hanako Katsuraningyo style miniature doll with 6 wigs in original wooden storage box.

This Mid-century set is in excellent unplayed with condition.  The very pretty gofun miniature doll is dressed in silk Kimono and is 4 1/2″ tall.

The set contains 5 elaborate wigs with hair accessories, representing different styles and ceremonies.  See all of our ethnic dolls in our connectibles store.

Companion Dolls – Patti Playpal

In 1959, a NEW and unique design of doll was offered to lucky girls – “life-size” was the defining new concept for COMPANION dolls. Whether a 23″ baby, a 28″ toddler, or a 35″ doll, the size of a 3-year-old, all are the actual size of their real-life counterparts. Most homes could only fit ONE of these dolls at best, so they were treasured.
The standard was set by Ideal with its PATTI PLAYPAL line, although many other brands, including Betsy McCall, also offer similar products. The fun of owning companion dolls is that they can be redressed in clothing from any children’s store, so you can personalize them with an incredible variety. Patti Playpal wears approximately a size 3T, and many collectors enjoy dressing them for special holidays – picture her standing next to your family Christmas Tree, or in a Halloween costume next to your display!
Starting or adding to a collection is relatively easy —there is a wide variety of hairstyles, some considered rare. Outfits, accessories, and brands offer endless variation. Our 5 granddaughters are fascinated by life-size dolls because they can really be a “sister” or friend in their creative play, leading to wonderfully imaginative stories. Adult collectors are fascinated by the delight of stumbling across a NEW hairstyle or color they’ve discovered. Mostly, they just make us smile with delight!
