Victorian FIGURAL Napkin Ring Simpson 3 OWLS Silver Gold

Victorian Figural napkin rings are a joy to collect, display, set a beautiful table! Silverplate, these were produced late 1800’s through turn of the century. Victorians often used silver-plated items for their dining room where dinner was an elaborate social event. The various figural napkin rings were assigned to family members as holders of their napkins that were used all week until wash day.

Pictured here is a hard to find version of a rare ring, evaluated in the Gottschalk & Witson book as A+ rare category.  “Long Eared Owl” with owelets roosting on a branch is “truly a beautiful ring.”

Simpson, Hall, Miller & Company #204. This version has gold plating on top of the silver plating for accent areas like the leaves and the center of the base as well as details around the legs.

Condition is VERY good, with some light wear to the gold plating. Outstanding version of this exceptionally high quality figural ring. 4″ high.  Please see our connectibles store for other napkin rings.

Salt Pepper Shakers S&P Kennedy JFK 1962 Rocking Chair

We’re selling a terrific (and HUGE lot) of over 100 vintage 1950-60’s Salt and Pepper Shaker sets, fresh from a local collector. Pictured here is one of my favorite sets, a 1962 John F Kennedy S&P set by Arrow, marked on bottom of the base.  The Rocking chair is the pepper, and President Kennedy is the salt.  The set is 3 1/2 inches tall and displays beautifully.  Please look at our connectibles store for many more S&P sets.

Salt and Pepper shakers are one of the easiest collections to start – they are readily available and mostly inexpensive to buy.  I have included a little blurb here for the The Novelty Salt &  Pepper Shakers Club, which is great place for beautiful pictures and much information on the hobby.  This is a collectors club comprised of members from around the world with  various backgrounds who have one thing in common – the love of collecting novelty and figural salt  and pepper shakers. Collectively we have  a lot of education and friendship to share.

Their purpose is to provide services and education to people interested in the history  and the collection of novelty and figural salt and pepper shakers.

They host a national annual convention plus many local chapters have meetings and events throughout the  year. A quarterly Newsletter and a Membership Roster is included with membership.
