Vintage Airplane Figural Brooch Pin Plane Travel Map Air France Africa Aviation

Flight Pin

This listing features one of the more unusual and hard-to-find vintage pins we have ever discovered. 2 figural airplanes are suspended over a round glass dome covering a unique map that depicts African countries placed right next to Paris, France. Circa 1950’s – 1960’s.

Please look at photo to see the details.

After much research, we have not been able to discover another similar one. Our best guess is that it was a promotional pin either for a travel agency or airlines; perhaps Air France when they started flying to African countries and this was a way to “connect” the 2 areas.

  • Remarkable design.
  • Measures a substantial 3″, a true statement piece of jewelry.
  • Excellent condition, appears new and unused.
  • Unique gift for your favorite traveler or travel agent or Airline personnel; unlikely to ever be seen again!

Please visit our ebay store – connectibles to see this pin, and many other unusual collectibles.

Marx Disney Carry All Dollhouse Playset NEW in orig Box, Furniture, People RARE

I know the term “rare” is over-used, but this set deserves it! Pictured here is a never used or played with Disney “Carry-All Doll House Take-a-long Toy” by Marx, 1950’s. Tin litho house has classic Disney graphics; plastic people, furniture and vehicle complete the set, Marx style 49-94029.

Once assembled, the house has a handle on top and can be carried around as shown on box.

Disney DollhouseThe tin dollhouse is still flat inside the box as it was packed originally; tabs are therefore perfect as is the metal with no scratches or marks.

  • There was “nibbling” wherever this was stored however, and the box has the damage as shown and the instruction sheet is missing sections and is very, very fragile.  Still good to have, but difficult to read parts. I think assembly is quite straight-forward however, as there are not that many Disney Dollhouse2parts to assemble.
  • Regardless of the condition of the box, the toy itself is outstanding!
  • Complete with furniture and figures and even a car for Mickey, Minnie, Daisy and Donald and friends.  The only item that time otherwise affected were the little foam mattresses for the beds; they had disintegrated which is common among toys from that era. The foil on the mirror is intact and on the dresser.  This, any many other vintage toys, can be found in our ebay store connectibles.

Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, and Larry Luckinbill memorabilia items will be auctioned on eBay.

Lucy FamilyOn November 3rd, a special collection of 175+ Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, and Larry Luckinbill memorabilia items will be auctioned on eBay.

The following article was written by Sandi Garcia and appeared in the Alameda Patch.

In 2011, what would have been Lucille Balls 100th birthday coincided with the 60th anniversary of the first episode of the I Love Lucy showTo commemorate the occasion, Lucy and Desi Arnaz’ daughter, Lucie Arnaz Luckinbill, decided to make available items from her parent’s personal collection to fans on eBay.

Lucie and her husband, Laurence “Larry” Luckinbill, were thrilled with response! Now that they are downsizing from their family home now in anticipation of their move to Palm Springs, they’ve decided to release more memorabilia. This second auction is expanded to include articles from Lucie and Larry’s own successful acting careers.

Hear Lucie discuss why she decided to do the first auction.

For Lucie, it was important to work with someone she trusted to manage the sale. She turned to experienced eBay seller Maida Webster, owner of Connectibles. Maida met Lucie 15 years ago in Connecticut where they both live. “She [Lucie] trusts me completely to have her back”, said Maida.

Originally joining eBay for fun in 1998, Maida and her husband began seriously selling in 2004 and their post retirement hobby has evolved into a full-time career for both of them.

Maida knew how important it was to her friend and client that fans could finally participate and purchase some of her treasured family memories. She also knew that the I Love Lucy fanbase was much more likely to be on Ebay then at a New York Auction house.

“It was important 2 years ago for Lucille Ball’s 100th birthday that we offer items that fans could finally participate in purchasing,” Maida said. “The first sale was beyond anything we imagined; the fans WERE on Ebay, they were passionate.

I asked Maida what this was like for her and she responded, “It’s been a remarkable experience to participate.” She continued, “It’s been truly a fantastic experience to immerse myself in following a family from time of the beginning of the marriage all the way to the present.”

“I am even dreaming about Lucy now!”

The items for sale span Lucy and Desi’s careers, and also include an exciting array of television, film, and Broadway memorabilia from Lucie and Larry’s acting careers.

Some highlights include:

  • 1940s bed jacket owned by Lucy
  • Desi Arnaz own personal stop watch
  • 1949 memorabilia from Lucy’s and Desi’s wedding, including her gloves, garter, and a piece of the groom’s cake
  • 1950s wrought iron patio furniture used by both families for decades
  • Original costumes worn by Lucie Arnaz on Broadway in her award-winning performance in “They’re Playing our Song”
  • Star Trek V memorabilia (Larry Luckinbill portrayed Spock’s half-brother Sybok)

Also included in the auction is a New York Yankees #42 Mariano Rivera Jersey worn by Lucie Arnaz September 15, 2011 when she was invited to throw out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (signed by Lucie). But don’t even THINK of bidding on this jersey, it will be mine!

All items will come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity from Lucie Arnaz. As the individual items come available for sale on eBay, they will be accessible through this link: http://stores.ebay.com/Connectibles/Lucy-Desi

A few preview items are up now. Many more will be launched at auction this Sunday evening, November 3rd.

Maida says, “I am humbled and grateful!” for having this opportunity to work with the Arnaz-Luckinbill family.  Selling on eBay can connect you with amazing stories, captivating histories, and is a truly personal experience.

If you would like to take a class to learn how to sell on eBay, my next class is scheduled for November 16th at 1400 Bar & Grill in Alameda. Register here.

1953 Madame Alexander Glamour Girl Maggie 18″ Walker Doll ALL ORIG Beauty

1953 M.A. 2

We are delighted to be offering a very hard to find 1953 Madame Alexander Maggie face Glamour Girl 18″ walker doll, # 2010C. She is a true beauty, with only issue being the areas of her body that have been exposed (arms, neck, chest) have faded from original color as shown in photos, so her coloring is uneven. Taffeta skirt has a few small spots, otherwise dress is excellent..

  • Hair is nearly factory-new, walker mechanism is excellent, tiny red speck on chin that I did not try to remove.
  • Flowers on hat and waist are excellent, not flattened. Just beautiful.
  • Outfit includes: Tagged pink tafetta gown with black velvet bodice, net hat with silk flowers, hoop petticoat with attached bloomers, nylons and shoes – all original.

Hoop itself is somewhat out of round but I did not try to straighten. Black veil was found with her; I do not know if it original but will be included. No hat box.

Lord of the Rings The Magic Duel Gandalf Dragon Pewter Sculpture Casey LOTR

Pictured here is a beautiful Limited Edition Pewter Sculpture of Gandalf fighting a Dragon (Smaug).  Of course this never happened in the book or movie, but fun to think about.  The sculpture stands about 13″ in height and is a major work of Pewter by artist James Lane Casey.  This one is 141 / 2500 and is called the Magic Duel and was made in 1989.  The Pewter is mounted on a oval piece of finished wood.

This would make a great addition to any LOTR collection.  You can find it in our ebay store connectibles.
