Pictured here is a wonderful antique cast iron inkwell, complete with pressed glass insert and lid. Made by Connecticut’s Peck, Stow & Wilcox Company circa 1877, it’s in overall EXCELLENT condition with no breaks or repairs.
- Stand measures 4″ x 3-1/2″ x 5″, and has ornate decoration. Top shows a stork with places for 3 pens; bottom stand has 4 feet on the base and elegant rising sun motif.
- Pressed glass ink bottle has elegant square shape, and measures 2″ square. On the bottom the impressed words “PS&W co. Pat Dec 11, 77” appears. Glass is smooth, no chips, remnants of ink inside that I leave to lucky new owner to clean if you choose.
- Lid is secure and fits beautifully.
Hard to find one of these in better condition! Please look at this great inkwell and other collectibles in our connectibles eBay store.
