Victorian FIGURAL Napkin Ring Simpson 3 OWLS Silver Gold

Victorian Figural napkin rings are a joy to collect, display, set a beautiful table! Silverplate, these were produced late 1800’s through turn of the century. Victorians often used silver-plated items for their dining room where dinner was an elaborate social event. The various figural napkin rings were assigned to family members as holders of their napkins that were used all week until wash day.

Pictured here is a hard to find version of a rare ring, evaluated in the Gottschalk & Witson book as A+ rare category.  “Long Eared Owl” with owelets roosting on a branch is “truly a beautiful ring.”

Simpson, Hall, Miller & Company #204. This version has gold plating on top of the silver plating for accent areas like the leaves and the center of the base as well as details around the legs.

Condition is VERY good, with some light wear to the gold plating. Outstanding version of this exceptionally high quality figural ring. 4″ high.  Please see our connectibles store for other napkin rings.
