US Army Hour 1960’s Good Morning VIETNAM type Vinyl Record Radio Show T-471 EXC

We’ve just obtained a wonderful original collection of vinyl LP recordings of “The Army Hour” radio show that were broadcast during the Vietnam War in the 1960’s-70’s to the military.  Reminds me of the “Good Morning Vietnam” type of show.  Visual condition of most appears excellent.

12″ LP record album produced by the Office of the Chief of Information, Department of the Army. Each program is on one side of the 33-1/3 rpm record and runs 25 minutes and features Vietnam combat news stories & popular music of the time. Also includes the printed information describing the content for the Program Director of the show. Some are dated.

Show here is Program T-471 and Program T-472. Details:

T-471:

History of Panthathlon training. Interview with an Army soldier who was on the 1968 U.S. Olympic Team in the Panthathlon.
Music: Hawaiian War Chant, U.S. Army Band dedicated “The Spirit of Victory” to the Pentathlon, I Can’t Stop Loving You by the Surf-casters, and Steve Lawrence singing “There’ll be some Changes made.”

T-472:

Interview with a volunteer Combat Nurse serving in Vietnam.
Story of a helicopter test pilot.
Music – Until the Real Thing Comes Along, Song of the Army Nurse Corps, songs by Army Dance Band.

These are remarkable and hard to find recordings. We’re listing them one at a time.  See all of them in our eBay store: Connectibles.
